Doug leads a weekly Bible study for men called Spiritual Warfare Advanced Training (S.W.A.T.) and has been the keynote for many Iron Sharpens Iron, Men at the Cross, Man in the Mirror, Fellowship of Christian Athetes, Campus Crusade, and men's outreach events/retreats.  He has conducted church planting campaigns overseas and spoken at numerous open-air preaching events throughout the world. He trains church leaders through relational evangelism seminars and Evangelism Leadership Conferences here and abroad. Doug also brings evangelistic and discipleship messages at other conferences, retreats, universities, and youth events around the U.S. He shares messages such as "A Life of Impact" and "How Big is your God?". When asked to speak to spiritual growth issues, his messages include 'Maintaining your Momentum", "Saul and David - A Broken Heart vs. A Broken Dream", and a practical message on personal evangelism entitled "Lifestyle Evangelism for the Sharing-Impaired". He and Lori have addressed marriage at marriage conferences and retreats in "The Power of Partnership", and "Boundaries: Setting Up A Perimeter."

One powerful presentation of the Gospel is through a drama Doug learned from his friend Joe White called "The Crossbuilder." In this drama, Doug plays the role of a skeptical Gentile who prepared the wood for the crucifixion of Jesus. He actually prepares and then nails a 7' foot log to a 14' log making a cross that weighs approximately 300 pounds and then shares the Gospel with it on his back.
